“ÉTUDES ET NOCTURNES” is a project that began with the confinement in mid-2020 in Berlin, and it is based on the idea of closure and the impossibility of travel. At the beginning of the pandemic Urrutia made a series of drawings and watercolors of some of the objects he owned at home —“Études”— in order to search for narratives within the everyday, to find stories in the leisurely life (Still Life). Later, he grouped the objects creating still lifes with which he carried out a series —“Nocturnes”—.
The title that gives its name to the project and the paintings that make it up, refer to Chopin's compositions that accompanied the execution of each of them.
